Dear Reader,
I hope this email finds you well. I am excited to announce the launch of the updated version of my book, "The End of Wisdom". If you enjoyed the first edition, you're in for an enriching journey as this updated version dives even deeper into the world of proverbs, offering more thought-provoking insights, new sections, and an array of examples of good intentions gone awry in the world of wisdom.
In this updated edition, I have expanded upon the sections that discuss faulty finance proverbs, such as "Buy low, sell high" and "Never invest in something you don't understand". Each section dismantles these seemingly intuitive proverbs, backed by real-world data and compelling anecdotes from history.
But the journey doesn't end there. The new edition also delves into an intriguing exploration of beneficial illusions - cognitive apparitions that, while divergent from objective reality, can harbor positive outcomes. The Overconfidence Effect, Self-Serving Bias, and Just-World Hypothesis are just a few of the fascinating illusions we'll encounter on this journey. In addition, I have improved the previous sections of the book by adding more context.
Hopefully, by reading "The End of Wisdom", you will equip yourself with the knowledge to discern between sage advice and deceptive proverbs, potentially saving you from untold amounts of wasted time, money, and pain in the future.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Your continued support means the world to me.
Best regards,
Farah.
